Jen and I went to the Hurricanes game tonight against the Ottawa Senators. It was going to be a great night as it was the first game against Ottawa since we traded Commodore and Stillman for Corvo and Eaves. Commodore is a great guy with lots of personality, but unfortunately that doesn't win games. He had a knack for getting penalties at the worst and most deflating times, and that continues for him in Ottawa thankfully for us. Corvo ended up getting a hat trick and Eaves scored a goal. When the trade first was made, everyone on a Senator's website poll said they were getting a better deal. I would like to see what the poll would say now. There were lots of fights and scrums and even some harsh words between Staal and former Canes goalie Gerber. There were plenty of 5-on-3, 4-on-3, and 4-on-4 hockey throughout the game. Ward played a great game after the horrible loss against Buffalo on Friday where he was pulled. This was a great way to react to Friday's loss. 8:01 PM | Comments [0]
