I saw this great article about how audiophiles could not tell the difference between the expensive over priced Monster Cable cables and a coat hanger with soldered on jacks. None of them even knew the coat hanger was being used. I have been telling people for ever to pass on the $80+ Monster Cable cables and go for the cheap ones, but everyone always believes in the marketing just like with Bose speakers. Maybe if you have to go hundreds of meters, the Monster Cable cables would sound better, but everyone I know has all their equipment within a few meters of each others. I tell everyone to buy the inexpensive HDMI 1.3a cables from MonoPrice for around twelve bucks while BestBuy has some nice Monster Cable HDMI cables for around $99 and appear to be similar but shorter and not in-wall certified. I can't even find on Monster Cable's website if the Monster Cable cables are HDMI 1.3a Category 2 cables. I guess there is a sucker born every minute. 12:15 PM | Comments [0]
